About Little Roots

We're Farris Darawsheh and Leith Darawsheh—brothers, fathers, and co-founders of Little Roots Co. Our journey began not in a boardroom, but around family dinner tables, where stories of Palestine were passed down like precious heirlooms.

As sons of a Palestinian refugee, we grew up hearing tales of olive groves, ancient cities, and a homeland that lived in memories and hearts. Our father's stories weren't just bedtime tales—they were bridges to a culture, a language, and an identity that distance couldn't diminish.

Now, as fathers ourselves, we faced a challenge: How do we pass on this rich heritage to our children, born in a different world, speaking a different language, yet carrying the same roots? How do we make Arabic fun to learn? How do we teach them about Tatreez, Dabke, and Makloobah in ways that compete with modern entertainment?

That's when Little Roots was born—not as a business idea, but as a father's promise to keep heritage alive. We combined our expertise in technology and education with our passion for Palestinian culture to create something unprecedented: an app that makes learning about Palestine as engaging as any game, as personal as a bedtime story, and as meaningful as a grandparent's embrace.

Every feature in Little Roots carries a piece of our story and, we hope, will help write yours. Because heritage isn't just about the past—it's about planting seeds for the future.
